There shall be provision for a supply of air for combustion, for combustion products dilution where relevant, and for ventilation of the boiler house.
The air supplies for boiler house ventilation shall be such that the maximum temperatures within the boiler house shall be as follows:
The fans shall be selected so as not to cause a negative pressure (relative to the outside atmosphere) developing in the boiler house.
A system in which air is supplied naturally via a simple opening and extracted using a fan shall not be used since this could depressurize the boiler house and cause down flow in the flue.
Ventilation grilles shall be designed to minimize high velocity airstreams in the boiler house.
